The Moorings sits in a narrow band of land with the Gulf on one side and Moorings Bay on the other, so there is no dry side of the neighborhood. The homes are mostly mature single-story builds with the deep overhangs and wide soffits that mid-century Naples architecture favored, and those overhangs are the first thing to go black — they stay shaded, they stay damp, and they are the part of the house you notice from the driveway.
Our soft washing is the right method for painted block and aging soffit board, both of which pressure will mark and delaminate. Solution goes on, kills the growth at the root, dwells, then rinses at low pressure so the overhangs and walls come back even and the paint stays where it is.
On established lots the landscaping is mature and close to the house, so beds are pre-wet and rinsed down behind us rather than left to take the runoff.
