Pelican Bay runs from the high-rise towers down to the single-family streets behind the mangroves, and the high glass looks different in each. In the towers it's the tall lobby and stairwell glass and the lower-floor lanai walls that face the Gulf air drifting in over the preserve; in the houses it's skylights over the great room and clerestory bands that pull light past the tree line. Both collect a film of salt and mangrove damp up high, and both are the panes a ladder can't safely serve.

We clean all of it from the ground with the water-fed pole and a deionized rinse, so the high glass dries spot-free with no ladders braced against a building or a screen enclosure.
