When an older Marco home comes down, the house that replaces it is often taller, built up to current flood elevations and carrying a lot more glass. That means view walls a story or more off the ground, clerestory windows over the great room, and upper panes sitting right above the pool cage, where nobody can safely set a ladder.

We clean all of it from the yard with a water-fed pole that reaches over the cage, and rinse with pure water so the high glass dries clear without anyone toweling it. Skylights get the same treatment. They spot faster than any upright window because rain sits on them and dries in place, so they go on the same two-month rhythm as everything else.
