A Port Royal enclosure is a big structure — often a two-story cage over a large deck running toward the dock — and it spends the wet season unattended, which is exactly when the mold and algae do their work. Six months of heat and daily storms with nobody in the room is how an enclosure goes from clean to visibly black in the corners and along the kickplate line before anyone has set foot in it.

Screens are soft washed in place at low pressure, framing and the tall support beams are cleaned including the top faces, the floor is washed to the surface at the pressure the stone takes, and the kickplates, tracks, and corners are hand-detailed.
