Bonita has two kinds of window problems, and where you live decides which one you get. On Bonita Beach and along Hickory Boulevard, the glass faces the Gulf and takes salt every day. Inland, in the golf communities and the older streets off Old 41, the salt is lighter and the trouble is irrigation: sprinkler water drying on the lower panes and leaving a white band.

The cleaning is the same either way. A water-fed pole for the upper glass, a hand squeegee on the ground floor, and a pure-water rinse that dries clear. What changes is the rhythm. Beachfront glass often goes monthly. Most homes inland do fine every two months, with hard-water stain removal first if the sprinkler band has already bonded.
